Well, the first steps of my new journey have been finally taken. I know have the official date of my arrival back to my country, the US. On June 4th I will finally be breathing Florida air again and I can’t wait. The next 20 days will be hard ones for I have much preparation to do and a few things to take care of before I go. But most of all I have to deal with the fact that I will be leaving behind to people who depend on me a lot, My mom and dad. As much as it pains me, I have to think abo...

I have a friend offering me a 10 GB slim hard drive for $75. Here in Puerto Rico these drives are not in stores, not something that has caught on yet. The hard drive has no name brand but he claims the internal drive is from IBM. I have been searching the internet for slim hard drives with similar storage and usb connections and somehow am not having any luck finding any at all. I can't seem to figure out the correct words to google in order to find these types of drives. Was hoping someone c...

You gotta wonder, what would make Car Makers and Big Oil companies want to make cars that run on anything other than gas? I mean what for? They have never really cared about the environment till now. Regardless of any changes they may have done, gas always has and always will be damaging to the environment. But let’s not forget that most people don’t care either, sure some will do their best to not hurt the environment, but I don’t exactly see hundreds upon hundreds of bicycles of the streets ...

Just curious how did you fellow JU users end up here. I found this place by mean coincidence. I use to hang out at this other site that I found where they had a section with tech news and sorts to post about. I found it entertaining to chat without using a chat program (good when you at work and can't install anything on the PC) and being able to express myself about topics I liked. I did how ever ended up leaving cause one of the users who was also a moderator began to have strong disagreemen...

One day I met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that we would marry, I made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later, on my birthday, my car broke down on the way from work. Since I lived in the countryside I called my husband and told him that I would be late because I had to walk home. On my way, I passed by a small diner and the odour of baked beans was more than I could stand. With miles to walk, I figured that I...

Daddy's Gonna Eat Your Fingers" This one is for all of you who: a) have kids had kids c) was a kid d) know a kid! As I was packing for my business trip, my 3-year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point, she said.... "Daddy look at this," and stuck out two of her fingers. Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, "Daddy's gonna eat your fingers!" pretending to eat them before I rushed out ...

According to E3insider.com, the long awaited Playstation 3 will finally make its debute in stores in November. But I advize extreme caution, you wallet and bank account will feel the pain when you find yourself shoving out between $500 and $600 for either the 20 GB or the 60 GB systems. Last time I spent that much money I bought a PC that could do more than play games, play music and watch movies. I mean, you have to be a super console gamer to want to pay that much for a system to play gam...

You gotta love this planet. Everywhere you go everyone is always trying to make a buck. But, is it always for food, shelter and family? Or is it cause money is like a drug, an addiction. The more you have the more you want. It seems that in today’s world everything is based on money, and on making as much of it as possible regardless of the person who gives you the money and what happens after they pay you. Can we really expect anything less from anyone? Even churches are based on making m...

I need a freware software (or shareware, it's just fo 1 photo) that will allow me to make a mirror image of a photo. Kinda like what you do when making iron-on print-outs. I have to install it on a PC with restrictions to install, I can install somethings as long as it doesn't have toregister anything. Any ideas?

Well actually a parcial idea. Something I heard on TV. I was thinking about the illegal alien problems and about how to stop them. So many different ideas yet not one has been chosen. What if we can make these politicians understand that we want action, we want results, we want something done and we want it now? Here's my parcial idea, parcials because I know what we can do, which is let's all buy on brick, any brick, now here is the part I don't have, we should send it to a Gov't Office. ...

Let me give you some background on the discussion I was having with my sister and her friend. The guy, my sisters friend, is thinking of starting a new business. His idea? Grocery home delivery, you make the list, he buys the food and delivers it, all for a small fee. Small because it's only $25 which I personally don't see bad. This is where the problem starts, out of curiousity I began to ask about how he plans to go about doing this. I was curious if he had considered the pros and cons ...

According to a local Puerto Rican newspaper, El Nuevo Dia, it seems that the Govenor of Puerto Rico is searching for ways to save money because they are running out of it. It's so bad to the point that he is in search of where he can cut back. By considering closing some non essencial Gov't offices, it is possible to save enough money. But not onlynon essencial offices are being considered. It seems that by closing schools a few weeks before the end of school is also being considered. The edu...

I’m a big fan of Logitech. I’m also a big fan of wireless keyboards and mousse. While I don’t play many PC games, I have not seen any reason not to use wireless keyboard and mousse except maybe batteries. I currently have a Logitech Cordless Elite Duo, the best thing I had so far, except the mouse is not rechargeable and when there are no batteries around at the moment, it can be a pain. This is why I ask for opinions about the Logitech DiNovo. I saw it a while back and it caught my a...
