Ouch, I hope it can cook and clean as well.
According to E3insider.com, the long awaited Playstation 3 will finally make its debute in stores in November. But I advize extreme caution, you wallet and bank account will feel the pain when you find yourself shoving out between $500 and $600 for either the 20 GB or the 60 GB systems. Last time I spent that much money I bought a PC that could do more than play games, play music and watch movies.
I mean, you have to be a super console gamer to want to pay that much for a system to play games. After all, I don't often hear people talking about how good movies play or how often they use their playstation to listen to music, that's what DVD players and stereos are for. And I doubt people will just get rid of these systems that, chances are, most people have (more than one unit of each) just to replace them with a game cosole that can do it all.
After watching E3 thru G4TV (lots of confusing letter and numbers there) I was a bit impressed with some of the Playstation 3 features such as the Blue-ray DVD drive which will allow for more space storage on the CDs(which might also mean more expensive games), the ability to connect the PSP to the PS3 and use it as a secondery monitor for specific games like racing games (kinda like with the Nintendo Gamecube and the Gameboy Advanced), there is also the PS3 wireless controller which looks a little and feels like the original PS2 controller and it also has tilt and motion sensitivity like the Nintendo WII controller.
I was however disapponted with the graphics, after all this time you would think they would get it right. I saw the trailer of the game and it looked like any other PS2 game which is very very disappointing. After all, even the Original Xbox graphics are better to me. Well they got more than enough time to make it better, lets hope, but for that price I'm not sure if I'll even care.
Unless this system can double as a house maid I doubt it will have a chance to share space with my soon-to-buy Xbox 360 at that price. What the hell was Sony thinking when they came up with those prices? And I though Microsoft was nuts with the Xbos 360 price, it scares me even more to think that Nintendo was always about $150 cheaper, can't imagine what the price will be this time.
