I consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to computers, but I admit I am no expert. I can fix most average problems and explain to people some average things. But when it comes to specifics in hardware and software I still have a lot to learn.
I have this problem when it comes to memory and was hoping to put an end to it here today. I have made a list of hardware that I would like to buy to build, what I consider, my ultimate PC. I hope to do it before the end of the year but am not in that much of a rush.
My question is this, everytime I look at memory for my list I always end up seeing these features that I don't understand what they are for so I always have trouble wondering which one to get. There is the buffered and unbuffered memory and there is registered and unregistered memory. Can someone tell me what the difference between buffered and unbuffered and registerd and unregistered? I have yet to find an easy answer that does not confuse me and was hoping to get a simple answer here. Thanx in advance.
